From the customer Information layer click on the search button (the customer search dialog box is then displayed). It is mandatory for every Motor Vehicle Insurance Policy to have a customer, the customer may be selected from the existing list of customers or user create a new customer.
How to search for existing Customer record
From the search form enter your search criteria (Customer No, Name, Email, Mobile No ) and Press the search button on the right side of the entry text box. If a match is found -It will display list of customers which matches your search entries in a grid. Scroll through the grid list, highlight and click to choose the customer record that matches your criteria. this then display the content of the chosen record on to the New Motor Policy (Customer Information layer). If a match is not found It will display a blank grid which requires user create a new customer record.
How to create a new Customer record
- Click on the ‘New Customer’ button (this then display the new customer creation entry screen.)
- Select the Type of customer (Individual, Corporate), if Individual is selected the system will require the user to enter the First Name, Last Name Bimpomaah Addo as the First and Last Names. if corporate is selected the User is required to enter the organization name Eg. Max Venture Ltd .
- Select the branch from the dropdown branch list.(if the branch does not exist in the dropdown list consult the administrator for a new branch record to be created
- Enter the Mobile Phone No with maximum length of 10 digit
- Enter the digital Address, the National Id Card No, Tax identification No (TIN)
- Enter the Email, Residential Address
- Select the Id Type from the Id Type dropdown List (Passport, Voter Id, Drivers License, Ghana Card)
- Select the occupation from the occupation list or Enter the occupation Eg. Lawyer, Medical Doctor
- Enter the Postal Address
- Click on the ‘Save and Use’ button to commit the customer record into the database. If successful will display the committed record in the New Motor Customer Information layer. If unsuccessful will pop the reason in a label at the top right side of the customer form. E.g First Name cannot be blank.
- Note : The mandatory fields are First Name, Last Name for Individual customers, Name for Corporate customers. Other fields are the Branch, Telephone No and Email Address. If any of this fields are ignored the system will reject the saving and will not commit to the database. In addition will display the Error.
- Return to Search button take the New Motor
